Kafue Celtic FC took on NAPSA Stars in a double-header of pre-season friendly matches at the NAPSA Sports Complex, with the first game kicking off at 09:00hrs.

First Friendly: NAPSA Stars 3-1 Kafue Celtic

NAPSA Stars made a bright start, taking the lead within the opening minutes and controlling much of the game’s tempo. Their dominance was rewarded with a second goal just before the halftime break, giving them a comfortable 2-0 advantage.

The Crocs returned from the interval with renewed energy and determination. Their pressure eventually paid off when they were awarded a penalty, which was calmly converted to reduce the deficit to 2-1.

However, in the closing stages of the match, NAPSA Stars capitalized on another opportunity to restore their two-goal cushion, sealing a 3-1 victory at full-time.

Second Friendly: NAPSA Stars 2-2 Kafue Celtic

Kafue Celtic responded impressively in the second encounter, starting the match on the front foot and controlling large spells of possession. Their disciplined display ensured the two sides went into the halftime break locked at 0-0.

The breakthrough came in the second half when Nthasilwe Malupande gave the Crocs a deserved lead. Moments later, Chama Chansa doubled Kafue Celtic’s advantage to put the visitors firmly in control.

NAPSA Stars responded with a series of substitutions that changed the momentum of the game. The hosts mounted a late comeback, scoring twice in the closing minutes to earn a 2-2 draw.

The two friendlies provided valuable match fitness and tactical preparation for both teams as they continue their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
